Job summary

Loreto Sixth Form College in Manchester is seeking a Finance leader to oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations. You will line-manage the Finance Office staff and support month-end processes, monthly accounts, and financial reporting.

You will also monitor payroll data transfers to the finance system and remain aware of financial developments with the DfE and other funding bodies. The college values safeguarding and staff wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budget statements and financial reports for management.
• Ensure control account reconciliations are completed monthly.
• Oversee accurate transfer of payroll data to the finance system, monitoring changes with regulatory bodies.

This isan exciting time to join Loreto College's Finance team in a new role, which hasbeen established in response to sustained College growth to ensure our financefunction continues to provide efficient support.

Thepostholder will lead a small team and be responsible for the day-to-daymanagement of the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financialprocessing and compliance with Financial Regulations.

Youwill have line management responsibility for the Finance Office staff,including appraisals and assessment of training needs, and manage theday-to-day work allocation, supervision and development of Finance Office staff.You will assist the Head of Finance with end of month procedures, preparemonthly accounts, budget statements and financial reports, ensure controlaccount reconciliations are completed each month, and ensure the accuratetransfer of payroll data to the finance system. Maintaining awareness offinancial developments and financial protocols with the DfE and other fundingbodies is integral to the role.
