Job summary

Huddersfield Town Foundation is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to lead the Foundation’s finance function and support our mission to GROW through learning and opportunity, BELONG through connection, and THRIVE through wellbeing.

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will manage day-to-day financial operations, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and governance support for staff, the SLT and Board. They will coordinate returns to statutory bodies and funding partners.

• Strong financial management experience, ideally in the charity sector.
• Promotes sound financial control and attention to detail.
• Collaborates across the Foundation and with the leadership team.

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and purpose-driven Finance Manager to manage the Foundation’s finance function. The role will help bring our strategy to life by providing the effective financial management and business support needed for our community to GROW through learning and opportunity, BELONG through connection and inclusion, and THRIVE through improved wellbeing.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for day-to-day financial management, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and high-quality financial support to Huddersfield Town Foundation staff, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. The role will also coordinate financial returns to statutory bodies and funding partners and support good governance through the review of relevant policies, risk documentation and working practices.
