Finance Manager | £45,000 to £57,000 + Hybrid | Full or Part time considered | Greater Manchester

Robert Half is working with a long-established, family-owned textile business based in the Greater Manchester area. This business is a second-generation success story supplying a range of high-volume textile goods to major UK retailers and hospitality groups, including prestigious hotel chains.

The company is now seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with strong technical accounting skills and a down-to-earth, team-oriented approach.

The Role

You'll oversee a remote finance team of five and work closely with the board. Reporting directly to the MD, you will take ownership of the finance function, including:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Leading audit preparation and coordination
  • Overseeing day-to-day ledgers, month-end close and financial operations
  • Supporting systems improvements and financial controls
  • Working with personnel/payroll team and MD on finance matters

What's On Offer

  • £45,000 - £57,000 salary
  • Hybrid working: 1 day per week in the office (Bolton), remainder remote
  • Flexible hours; Full time preferred, but part-time applicants (e.g., 3-4 days/week) will be seriously considered

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with strong accounting fundamentals
  • Technically skilled and detail-oriented
  • Confident with audit processes, month-end routines, and ledger management
  • Able to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
  • Previous SME experience
