Job summary

Vercity, the UK leader in Asset and Infrastructure projects, is seeking an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant to join as Finance Manager. You will oversee financial management across renewable infrastructure projects, acting as the project-level finance lead with senior stakeholders.

You will own governance, budgeting, forecasting and financial model management, and present to Boards and funders. Hybrid role with offices in Swanley, Leeds or London.

For nearly 30 years Vercity has been the UK’s leading provider of Asset and Infrastructure projects in the public sector, and an MSA leader in the PFI space with over £30 billion of public sector assets under management.

We’re recruiting a Finance Manager to join our team providing financial management across a portfolio of renewable infrastructure projects. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll operate as the equivalent of Finance Director at project level, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and Boards.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning financial management, governance and statutory compliance for complex SPVs
• Leading covenant, debt, budgeting, forecasting and financial model management
• Presenting to and advising Boards, funders and senior stakeholders
• Managing audits, tax, cash flows and shareholder distributions
• Playing a key role in assessing and reporting the financial impact of commercial activity

About you

• ACA or ACCA qualified (practice trained preferred)
• 4+ years post‑qualified experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial modelling skills
• Comfortable operating in a high‑governance, compliance‑driven environment
• Able to communicate confidently at senior and Board level
• Experience in infrastructure, PFI or asset management is beneficial but not essential — high‑calibre candidates from practice looking for a step into industry are strongly encouraged.
