Job Description

Finance Duties and Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Finance Department Oversight : Lead the finance team, set goals, and implement a framework to ensure objectives are met.
  • Budget and Forecast Management : Prepare budgets, monitor cash flow, and produce monthly forecasts.
  • Financial Reporting : Provide monthly P&Ls, income, and expenditure forecasts, ensuring financial processes align with company policies.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis : Deliver financial reports and data to support strategic decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management : Oversee stakeholder relationships, manage PO requests, and ensure accurate invoicing and tracking.
  • Leadership and Team Management : Manage and mentor the Finance & Administration team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and continuous professional development. Lead by example to foster a collaborative, efficient, and effective team environment.
  • Board Pack Preparation : Compile and present the board pack, delivering comprehensive financial updates and key insights to the Senior Leadership Team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Highly skilled in financial management with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of managing budgets and P&L accounts within a large organisation.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Excel, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and prioritisation skills, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong team player, capable of leading and motivating a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present effectively in management meetings.
  • A qualification in finance (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) is highly preferred but not essential.
