We are seeking a confident Finance Business Partner to join us at Trip.com! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting business growth while ensuring financial compliance across the UK and Netherlands, with potential involvement in other European markets. This position requires a strategic thinker who can balance business support with regulatory requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

In this Role, you'll get to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable financial insights, driving informed decision-making and supporting the execution of business strategies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with broader business objectives, ensuring alignment with both local and EU regulatory standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, monthly closings, and the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and related payments, while maintaining compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Lead and manage statutory and tax audit processes, coordinating with local authorities and external auditors to ensure compliance and resolve issues promptly.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and policies to safeguard assets, minimize financial risks, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Identify and address financial challenges proactively, recommending solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
  • Provide training and guidance on expense reimbursement processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert financial support in the context of UK or Netherlands-specific regulatory requirements, ensuring all financial processes meet local standards.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in finance roles with a focus on financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax compliance, ideally with substantial experience in either the UK or Dutch market.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and local financial regulations, including tax laws, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred
