Hyundai Motor Europe GmbH is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in Leatherhead. The role covers fixed assets, used car inventory, provisions, and balance sheet controls, with responsibility for month-end close, reconciliations, and inter-company accounting.

The successful candidate will manage an AR team, oversee insurance, and provide timely financial insight for stakeholders while ensuring compliance and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
Minimum 3 years accounting experience.
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent Excel skills and system literacy.
Detail-oriented with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

Maintain fixed asset register with correct asset life and depreciation rates.
Prepare fixed asset reporting for group consolidation and statutory accounts.
Manage used car inventory and conduct stock takes.
Oversee provisions for used cars and potential second-sale losses.
Oversee month-end and quarterly close; ownership of balance sheet accounts.
Ensure monthly reconciliations and SOX/KSOX controls.
Support remarketing with ad hoc used-car reporting.
Manage inter-company reconciliation and EFIS uploads; liaise with HME and HMC.
Oversee AR team and company insurance policies; support renewals.
Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers.

Finance Manager

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to manage a broad range of financial accounting activities, including fixed assets, used car inventory and provisions, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting and inter-company accounting. You will ensure strong financial controls and compliance across statutory, tax and group reporting requirements, while overseeing dealer incentive payments, AR activities and providing accurate financial insight and support to key stakeholders.

We want you to:

Ensure the fixed asset register is accurately maintained with correct asset life and depreciation rates.
Fixed asset reporting for HMC group consolidation, tax computations, and statutory accounts.
Manage used car inventory including physical stock takes at all locations.
Manage used car & leased asset provisions and ensure any potential 2nd sale losses on used cars are identified and provided for.
Manage key aspects of financial accounting processes including Balance sheet account ownership and monthly and quarterly close procedures.
Ensure Balance Sheet account reconciliations are completed monthly and KSOX controls are adhered to.
Support Remarketing with ad hoc reporting on used cars and buyback reporting.
Manage used car incentive claims and payment process for dealers including accounting on SAP incentive system.
Ensure effective controls are in place to verify and check all dealer claims before payment.
Management of annual P11D, PSA and PPT processes ensuring compliance deadlines are met
Manage inter-company reconciliation, upload onto consolidation system EFIS and Liaise with HME and HMC.
Management of AR team
Manage company insurance policies and actively participate in annual renewals.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers ensuring timely investigation and resolution of queries.
