Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Finance Manager in Greater Manchester for a not-for-profit client. You will oversee day-to-day financial operations, lead a small finance team, and partner with the Head of Finance on month-end procedures and reporting.

The role focuses on budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decisions. Hybrid working and a competitive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Part qualified accountant actively studying toward ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar
• Excellent management or leadership skills/experience
• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience in managing budgets and delivering financial analysis
• Experience of month end and year end accounting process
• Able to pass a Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance team, built up of 3 finance officers
• Work closely with the Head of Finance to support with month end procedures
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budget statements and financial reports, providing variance analysis and supporting commentary
• Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making
• Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders and senior management
• Prepare the draft year-end financial statements, reconciliations and supporting audit schedules for review by the Head of Finance

The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of the accounting and finance function, whilst managing and demonstrating strong leadership skills to the wider finance team.

A Successful Finance Manager Should Have

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £39,500 to £42,000, dependent on the level of experience
