Job summary

Leyton Sixth Form College in London is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Finance team, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with statutory requirements. You will prepare management and statutory accounts and act as the primary contact for audits.

The successful candidate will hold relevant financial qualifications and full membership of a main accounting body, working 36 hours per week on a Management Scale 2 salary (£53,373 - £56,135 per annum).

Salary: Management Scale 2 (£53,373 - £56,135 per annum on a 3-point scale)

Hours of work: Full time, 36 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a supportive Finance Manager to work with the Director of Finance to oversee our outstanding service provision.

You will be responsible for the management of the Finance team and support the continuous improvement of the service with effective and efficient use of resources and review procedures in line with legislation and best practice. You will be required to prepare management and statutory accounts whilst adhering to auditing and regulatory requirements and will be the point of contact for internal and external financial audits.

The successful candidate will have relevant financial qualifications and must have full membership of a main accounting body. You will have demonstrable experience managing finances in a complex organisation, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
