Job summary

Skillsearch is seeking a Finance Manager for their London team, offering exposure to an international group with UK, USA and Europe operations. You will lead month-end reporting, consolidations, intercompany reconciliations and payroll processes under the Finance Director, with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalists or recently qualified, with experience in fast-growing businesses, advanced Excel, Xero familiarity, and multi-entity/currency management.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate month-end reporting within deadlines.
• Prepare and review month-end accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Prepare month-end consolidations across UK and international entities.
• Collaborate with overseas finance teams to meet reporting deadlines.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and manage cashflow planning.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly royalty reports for external partners.
• Assist Finance Director with ad hoc projects and audits.

We're working exclusively with an established and fast-growing video games publisher to find a Finance Manager to join their team in London.

This is an opportunity to join a business behind multiple commercially successful and critically acclaimed PC and console titles. With several major launches planned over the next 12 months, it's an exciting time to become part of a growing international business.

We are prioritising candidates who can start immediately or at short notice. We are particularly keen to hear from ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalists or recently qualified accountants looking to take their first or second step into a Finance Manager role.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while producing timely and accurate financial reporting across an international group of companies.

With operations across the UK, USA and Europe, you'll gain exposure to multiple entities, international reporting and global partnerships with some of the biggest names in the games industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate month-end reporting within agreed deadlines.
• Prepare and review month-end accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Prepare month-end consolidations across UK and international entities.
• Work with overseas finance teams to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Support weekly and monthly cash flow planning.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly royalty reports for external development partners.
• Support the Finance Director with ad hoc projects.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including purchase orders, invoicing and supplier queries.
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Manage weekly payment runs and monthly payroll.
• Work closely with finance teams across the UK, USA and Europe.
• Help improve finance processes and internal controls.
• Review departmental spend against budgets and forecasts.
• Produce financial reports and analysis for department heads.
• Support the annual audit process.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) — finalists and recently qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in a fast-growing business.
• Hands‑on approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Comfortable working in a varied and fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Xero is beneficial.
• Experience managing multiple entities and currencies.
• Previous experience in the video games industry, or a similar entertainment, media or technology sector, is highly desirable. Experience with royalty-based business models would be an advantage.
