Job summary

Trace | Expert Accountancy & Finance Recruitment seeks a Finance Manager for a SaaS business in Central London. You will own a broad finance remit, including payroll, management accounts, VAT submissions and financial analysis, while improving processes and automation.

You will work with senior finance stakeholders and oversee a Finance Assistant, ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and scalable processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified or Finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in operational finance and management accounts.
• Experience managing multi-jurisdiction payroll function.
• Hands-on with accounts payable, VAT and/or sales tax.
• Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills and KPI/data driven mindset.
• Experience in multi-entity or international group structures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll across multiple international entities and contractors.
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed, approved and paid on time.
• Prepare and support VAT and sales tax submissions.
• Respond to operational finance queries across the business.
• Maintain accurate financial records across the group.
• Take ownership of month-end balance sheet reconciliations across entities.
• Maintain and reconcile key control accounts (accrued income, deferred revenue, provisions, fixed assets, prepayments).
• Manage wages, PAYE and pension control accounts; support monthly management accounts.
• Provide financial and operational analysis to support decision-making.
• Assist with implementation/migration of payroll and finance systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes.
• Explore AI applications to reduce manual work and boost efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a growing international business and take ownership of a broad and varied finance remit.

The role offers exposure across operational finance, payroll, month-end, management accounts, financial analysis and process improvement, with the opportunity to play an active role in developing and improving the finance function as the business grows.

You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders and provide day-to-day oversight of a Finance Assistant. The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple international entities and contractors.
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed, approved and paid on time.

About You

• Newly Qualified or Finalist level (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong practical experience across operational finance and management accounts.
• Experience managing or supporting a multi-jurisdictional payroll function.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, VAT and/or sales tax.
• Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including experience working with KPIs and business performance data.
• Experience working within a multi-entity or international group structure.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to work independently.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• An interest in AI, automation and using technology to improve finance processes.
