Benjamin Edwards is hiring a Finance Manager in Grantham with hybrid working. You will own financial reporting, cash flow and treasury, lead a small finance team and drive improvements across the function.

The role involves month-end close, statutory reporting, balance sheet control, and collaboration with the FP&A team to support budgeting and forecasts. Applicants should be fully qualified accountants with strong technical accounting skills.

• Qualified accountant with strong financial accounting experience.

• Take ownership of month-end close, prepare management accounts, balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
• Prepare monthly Group consolidations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for a dynamic Finance Manager to join a forward thinking and growing business based in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, cash flow and treasury management, whilst leading a small finance team and driving improvements across the finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, managing working capital and strengthening financial controls within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. The role of Finance Manager

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, balance sheet reporting and cash flow analysis
• Prepare monthly Group consolidations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting)
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all control accounts are accurately maintained and reviewed
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 102 and coordinate audit schedules and supporting information
• Take responsibility for treasury management, including daily cash positions, cash flow forecasting, weekly payment runs and supplier payment planning
• Monitor and manage working capital, including stock, creditors and debtors, identifying opportunities to improve cash flow
• Oversee Accounts Payable, company expenses, bank reconciliations and third-party payment reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain the fixed asset register
• Work closely with the FP&A team, providing accurate financial information and supporting analysis for budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews
• Lead, support and develop junior members of the finance team
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen financial controls and support the introduction of new finance systems and technology

The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Manager

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong experience in financial accounting, management accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
• Good understanding of statutory reporting requirements, including FRS 102, and experience supporting external audits
• Proven experience in cash flow forecasting, treasury and working capital management
• Experience overseeing transactional finance processes, including Accounts Payable and VAT
• Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing finance team members
