Benjamin Edwards is recruiting a dynamic Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking and growing business based in Grantham. This role is Hybrid and will oversee financial reporting, cash flow and treasury while leading a small finance team, driving improvements across the function.

As part of the team you will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure accuracy of financial information, manage working capital and strengthen financial controls in a fast-paced, commercially focused

Competenze

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA and UK practice familiarity.
• Strong experience in financial accounting and management accounts.
• Experience with FRS 102 and statutory reporting.
• Proven cash flow forecasting and treasury skills.
• Experience supervising finance staff.
• Experience with VAT and accounts payable.

Mansioni

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, producing accurate monthly management accounts and cash flow analysis.
• Prepare monthly Group consolidations and ensure integrity of financial reporting.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
• Assist in statutory accounts under FRS 102 and coordinate audits.
• Oversee treasury management, daily cash positions and forecasting.
• Monitor working capital including stock, creditors and debtors to improve cash flow.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, expenses, bank reconciliations and third-party payments.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain fixed asset register.

Finance Manager

Location: Grantham / Hybrid

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for a dynamic Finance Manager to join a forward thinking and growing business based in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, cash flow and treasury management, whilst leading a small finance team and driving improvements across the finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, managing working capital and strengthening financial controls within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. The role of Finance Manager

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, balance sheet reporting and cash flow analysis
• Prepare monthly Group consolidations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting)
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all control accounts are accurately maintained and reviewed
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 102 and coordinate audit schedules and supporting information
• Take responsibility for treasury management, including daily cash positions, cash flow forecasting, weekly payment runs and supplier payment planning
• Monitor and manage working capital, including stock, creditors and debtors, identifying opportunities to improve cash flow
• Oversee Accounts Payable, company expenses, bank reconciliations and third-party payment reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain the fixed asset register
• Work closely with the FP&A team, providing accurate financial information and supporting analysis for budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews
• Lead, support and develop junior members of the finance team
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen financial controls and support the introduction of new finance systems and technology

The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Manager

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong experience in financial accounting, management accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
• Good understanding of statutory reporting requirements, including FRS 102, and experience supporting external audits
• Proven experience in cash flow forecasting, treasury and working capital management
• Experience overseeing transactional finance processes, including Accounts Payable and VAT
• Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing finance team members
