Job summary

eNL, an established organisation in the East Midlands, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, and prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning, coordinate year-end accounts, liaise with external auditors, and provide commercial insight to senior management.

Qualifications

Job description

An established, expanding organisation in the East Midlands seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance team on a full-time basis, offering a competitive salary plus benefits.

The successful candidate will direct daily operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, mentoring team members while preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports. Responsibility extends to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, year-end accounts and liaison with external auditors. Applicants should demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, compliance awareness and commercial acumen, with proven leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities

• Lead the day to day operations of the finance department, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, while managing and mentoring members of the finance team.
• Take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports, alongside budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• You will also oversee year end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls, while monitoring financial performance and providing commercial insight and recommendations to senior management.
• Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve financial systems, controls, reporting procedures and overall efficiency.

Requirements

• Applications are welcomed from qualified Accountants or candidates with previous experience as a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
• You will have strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting knowledge, experience managing teams, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems, alongside excellent stakeholder communication skills.
