Job summary

Alexander Lloyd is recruiting for a hands-on Senior Accounts role based in Crawley. You will own day-to-day accounts across multiple entities, with exposure to management accounts, intercompany activity, VAT, cash flow and process improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with Xero, strong reconciliations, and the ability to drive improvements in finance systems and reporting. Five days in the office and commuting to Crawley are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with management accounts.
• Experience in SME environment and multi-entity accounting.
• Able to commute to Crawley.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day accounts across multiple group companies using Xero.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers.
• Performing bank, supplier, customer and intercompany reconciliations.
• Managing intercompany transactions and multi-company accounting.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Overseeing credit control and debtor management.
• Managing supplier payments and cash flow requirements.
• Supporting payroll processes and year-end accounting activities.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and finance processes.
