Job summary

Lusona Consultancy appoints a Finance Manager for a fast-paced, multi-site construction environment in Lanarkshire. The role is hybrid (3 days in office) with a competitive £50,000–£55,000 salary and benefits including pension and private healthcare.

The successful candidate will lead on statutory accounts, management reporting and budgets, with exposure to VAT/CIS and group compliance, driving improvements across projects and processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified or 1-2 years PQE within ACCA, CA, CIMA.
• Experience producing statutory accounts and year-end audit.
• Experience with budgeting/forecasting and commentary on project movements.

Responsibilities

• Lead on statutory accounts production under FRS and year-end audit.
• Produce management accounts and budgets/forecasts with detailed commentary.
• Oversee CIS and VAT returns across multiple projects.
• Provide financial modelling and insights for decision making and process improvements.

Lusona are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-know Construction organisation in Lanarkshire to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Our client are a highly successful organisation with a multi-site environment across the UK. Working in a fast paced project focused environment, our client offers a dynamic and rewarding environment suited to a commercial accountant looking to take the next steps in their career. This role would suit a recently Qualified or 1-2 years PQE within ACCA, CA, CIMA with a desire to grow with the business over the long term.

The Finance Manager will lead on technical and commercial finance activities across the business including the Production of Statutory Accounts under FRS and year-end audit. The Finance manager will be responsible for producing management accounts and assessing budgets and forecasts in line with expectations with detailed commentary and analysis on project movements. You will be responsible for overseeing CIS and VAT returns across a series of projects and working with the transactional team to ensure accuracy and attention to detail across the end-end accounting process.

This is a fast paced role offering insight and guidance through financial modelling and working with large data sets to help support decision making. You will be confident in leading meetings and reporting finding to multiple stakeholders internally and externally with the opportunity to have a voice in shaping process improvements.
