Job summary

Leisure People Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager for a part-time, hybrid role in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. You will lead a small finance team, manage monthly reporting, and develop budgets and forecasts across multiple legal entities.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with experience in management accounts, strong Excel skills, and a hands-on, proactive approach. The role includes pension, gym access, parking, and pro‑rata holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.
• Experience preparing management accounts for a diverse commercial enterprise.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge.

• Hands-on approach and willingness to support operational finance activities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts.
• Produce management reports, financial analysis and KPI reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance and investigate variances.
• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations completed by the Finance Administrators.
• Review and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain strong financial controls and recommend process improvements.
• Liaise with external accountants and support year-end accounts.
• Lead, support and develop two Finance Administrators.
• Provide financial insight to support the operational and commercial leadership teams.

Finance Manager - Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire

Part-time 24-30 hours per week Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a commercially astute fully qualified accountant to lead the finance function of a diverse group who provide mechanical products and service contracts to the leisure and tourism markets.

Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a hands‑on varied role working across the different companies, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, leading a team of two finance administrators, and taking responsibility for the group’s financial reporting, controls and management information.
