Job summary

Harmonic Finance Ltd. in London is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead monthly and statutory reporting across global entities.

You will run the close, own consolidation, supervise external audits and set technical accounting policy as the group moves toward manufacturing. The role requires ACA/ACCA/CPA qualifications with audit-experience, 4+ years post-qualification in multi-entity/multi-currency environments, and strong IFRS/FRS102 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA with audit-firm background.
• 4+ years post-qualification across multi-entity, multi-currency groups (incl US entities).
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS; experience with statutory accounts and external audits.
• Hands-on close and consolidation experience, including journals and intercompany eliminations.
• Manufacturing/cost accounting and standard costing experience.
• ERP implementation experience (NetSuite or SAP).

Responsibilities

• Run the month-end and year-end close, owning journals and reconciliations.
• Oversee group consolidation across entities and multi-currency translation.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and group cash flow reporting.
• Prepare UK/US statutory financial statements and support local filings.
• Own the external audit end-to-end and manage PBC lists with auditors.
• Develop technical accounting papers on complex transactions and policies.
• Lead inventory and manufacturing cost accounting including standard costing and cost of sales.
• Support ERP build-out and use AI to accelerate close and reconciliations.
• Ensure internal controls and documentation are maintained and improved.
• Experience with US GAAP is advantageous and preferred.
• Background in a venture-backed hardware or deep-tech business is beneficial.

Job description

A well-funded deep-tech business building hardware and AI products for industrial customers, having raised over $100m in its Series A from leading VC investors. It is moving from R&D and prototypes into production, operates across multiple international entities including the US, and is building its finance function to public-company standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, this is a hands-on Finance Manager role covering monthly and statutory reporting and group consolidation across the group's global entities. You will run the close, own the consolidation and the external audit, and lead technical accounting as the business moves into manufacturing, including inventory, standard costing and the transition from FRS 102 to IFRS. Much of the close, audit and controls framework is still to be built, so this suits an audit-trained accountant who wants to set those foundations rather than inherit them.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the month-end and year-end close, owning journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll postings and full balance sheet reconciliations
• Operate and improve the group consolidation across all entities, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and multi-currency translation
• Prepare monthly management reporting and group cash flow reporting for leadership, investors, lenders and auditors
• Prepare UK/US statutory financial statements and support local filings in other jurisdictions alongside external advisors
• Own the external audit end to end, including PBC lists, auditor relationships and technical position papers
• Write technical accounting papers on complex transactions and develop policies across revenue, inventory, R&D, leases and share-based payments
• Lead inventory and manufacturing cost accounting as the business moves into production, including standard costing, cost of sales and stock provisioning
• Build and document internal controls, play a central role in the ERP build-out, and use AI and automation to speed up the close and reconciliations
• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (CIMA considered), ideally trained in an audit firm
• 4+ years' post-qualified experience across multi-entity, multi-currency groups, ideally including US entities (US GAAP).
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS, with experience preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits end to end
• Hands-on close and consolidation experience, owning journals, reconciliations, intercompany and eliminations rather than only reviewing them
• Inventory and cost accounting experience, including standard costing, in a manufacturing, physical goods or high-volume environment
• Experience in a high-growth business where processes, controls and documentation still need to be built
• ERP implementation experience (e.g. NetSuite, SAP)
• Background in a venture-backed hardware, robotics or deep tech business
• Confident using AI and automation tools to speed up close and reporting
