Finance Manager - Real Estate Projects (12-Month FTC to Perm)

£70-80k (DOE) + benefits | Central London | Hybrid working

A global media group with a centralised real estate function is seeking a Finance Manager to support ongoing transformation and optimisation of its property finance operations across EMEA. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to convert to permanent.

Sitting within a high-performing finance projects team, this role is focused on strengthening financial controls, enhancing reporting accuracy, and improving the operational finance processes tied to the group's property portfolio. There will be opportunities to work closely with senior leadership, local exec teams, and global stakeholders to deliver ledger clean-ups, systems improvements, and real estate finance projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead legacy reconciliations and prepare historic accounting adjustments across property entities
  • Develop and implement functional reconciliation templates and workflow controls
  • Improve centralised finance processes supporting real estate operations across EMEA
  • Collaborate with local and global finance leads to align on reporting and strategy
  • Facilitate roll-out of new payment approval processes, including SOX-compliant controls
  • Act as a key finance liaison across audit, internal controls, and business partnering functions
  • Support the accuracy and structure of financial data within real estate ledgers
  • Provide training and guidance to finance business partners across multiple markets

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, or equivalent)
  • Strong technical foundation, ideally gained through audit or advisory work at a Big 4 or Top 10 firm
  • Experience in real estate, property, or other asset-heavy industries (MUST HAVE)
  • Proven ability to deliver financial process improvements and hands-on reconciliation work
  • Detail-focused with strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Confident operating independently and partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable in hybrid/global environments and project-based work
