Job description

Hutcheon Mearns Finance are delighted to support a prestigious & long-standing global business in their search for a Finance Manager, based in Edinburgh. This key position within the group finance team involves providing full financial control of multi-million-pound costs of core functions and partnering with key stakeholders & senior leadership within the group. This role is well-suited for candidates from a technically focused external audit background making their second industry move or those currently working in a similar industry role.

About the Role:

• Manage month-end and group reporting submissions
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts
• Prepare & analyze forecasts and budgets in detail
• Provide finance business support to senior budget owners
• Manage accounting for group insurance policies and control claim settlement payments
• Oversee recharging and allocation processes of costs to subsidiary businesses
• Review and approve weekly payment runs
• Prepare and review weekly reports and cash flow forecasts
• Conduct monthly reviews of bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare group international transfer pricing submissions
• Lead liaison with external auditors for UK registered entities
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns, including UK VAT returns

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in Financial Controls within a global business is highly advantageous

• Experience in business partnering with key stakeholders & budget holders
