Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited is recruiting a Finance Manager on a 9‑month contract, based in Cambridge with parking and hybrid working. You will lead a small finance team of 3, manage month-end close and statutory reporting, and work closely with the CFO to ensure accurate financial statements for the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly accounting cycle for all group entities and month-end procedures.
• Support the annual group audit.
• Collaborate with the FP&A Manager to ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare statutory accounts for the UK and Ireland.
• Ensure VAT compliance and general tax management.
• Coordinate the payment run and approve payments.
• Manage a team of 3 Accounts Assistants.

Job description

We are supporting a local charity on the recruitment of a Finance Manager for a 9 month contract. This role is based in Cambridge and offers parking and hybrid working, they also have flexibility on start and finish times.

Reporting into the CFO this role will be responsible for a small finance team of 3 and will ensure the smooth running of the day to day finance operations -

• Manage the monthly accounting cycle for all group entities, including month end procedures
• Support with the annual audit for the group
• Work closely with the FP&A Manager to ensure timely reporting
• Prepare the statutory accounts for the UK and Ireland
• Ensure effective tax management and compliance including VAT
• Work with the team to facilitate the payment run and be the first approver for all payments
• Manage a team of 3 Accounts Assistants

You must be a qualified Accountant with proven experience in the above duties, you must also have strong people management skills. Experience of working in a charity is not essential however you must be comfortable managing your own workload and working to tight deadlines.
