Job summary

Fame Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a well-established charity with UK and international operations. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a small team, oversee multi-entity accounting in Xero, and ensure timely management accounts and statutory submissions.

The role offers hybrid working, generous holiday entitlement and off-street parking. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with strong financial reporting skills, Excel expertise and charity

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Charity finance experience desirable, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring a small finance team.
• Essential experience using Xero.
• Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a finance team of two.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities across the Charity Group.
• Oversee the day-to-day transactional finance function, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts across the Group.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns, payroll journals and other statutory submissions.
• Produce financial reports, analysis and commentary for the Finance Director.
• Ensure accurate accounting records are maintained using Xero.
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to take the next step in their career.
