Job summary

Amegreen Children’s Services is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance team, shape financial strategy and provide insights to Directors. You will own budgeting, cash flow, and reporting across our residential care, schools, and Head Office.

This role offers the chance to drive financial planning, improve controls, work with external accountants, and support safeguarding and compliance while developing the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a finance function with team leadership.
• Experience leading budgeting across multiple departments.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the finance team to ensure timely, accurate processes.
• Oversee invoicing, transactions, and accounting records with strong controls.
• Manage department budgets, monitor income, expenditure and cash flow.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for Directors and stakeholders.
• Support forecasting, planning and market trend analysis.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, banks and advisers.
• Maintain financial policies and regulatory compliance.
• Support HR payroll payments and resolve queries.
• Review accounting systems and implement improvements.
