Job summary

Amegreen Children's Services is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance team and shape the financial future of the charity.

You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, manage budgets, cash flow and reporting to Directors, and develop your team while supporting strategic planning across our homes, schools and Head Office.

Experience in similar roles within children's services would be beneficial and you will contribute to safeguarding and compliance in financial practice.

Qualifications

• More than four years' experience within a finance function with team leadership.
• Experience managing budgets across several departments.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the finance team and ensuring timely financial processes.
• Overseeing invoicing, accounting records, and financial controls.
• Managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and comparing forecasts.
• Preparing monthly and annual financial reports for Directors and stakeholders.
• Supporting planning through financial analysis and market trend review.
• Coordinating with external accountants, auditors, banks and advisers.
