Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Harrogate is seeking a part-time HR & Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial affairs and HR practices within a specialist engineering environment.

This role offers flexible hours (minimum 22.5 hours), a salary of £28,000–£32,000, and the chance to contribute to budgeting, payroll, compliance with HMRC, and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Accounting Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or economics.
• AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is advantageous.
• Experience working within a small team is beneficial.
• Prior cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and HR experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company's financial affairs.
• Oversee HR practices, processes and strategies.
• Implement and coordinate training programmes.
• Ensure bank accounts are reviewed and reconciled.
• Prepare monthly management reports and profit & loss projections.
• Manage and support staff.
• Liaise with HMRC and external accountants.
• Calculate and file corporate tax returns.
• Review financial transactions for accounting compliance.
• Manage general HR responsibilities including personnel records and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure payroll and related compliance requirements are up to date.

Job Title: HR & Finance Manager

Working Hours: Part time, minimum of 22.5 hours, can be 3 days a week, or spread across 5 days

HR & Finance Manager Job Responsibilities

• Manage the company's financial affairs.

• Prepare monthly management reports and profit & loss projections.
• Manage and support staff.
• Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and the company's external accountants.

• Review and evaluate the company's financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Manage general HR responsibilities, including maintaining personnel records and handling disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance requirements are kept up to date, including payroll processes.

HR & Finance Manager Job requirements

• Should have an Accounting Bachelor's degree in either finance, business administration or economics
• AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is advantageous
