Job summary

Tarmac, the UK’s largest construction materials company, invites graduates to join a Finance Graduate Programme at our Solihull head office. You’ll rotate across finance functions, gain hands-on experience, and work toward ACCA or CIMA while being fully supported.

You’ll develop reporting, budgeting and forecasting skills, build relationships across the business, visit sites, and participate in a core skills programme to accelerate your career.

Qualifications

• Final year student or recent graduate with a 2:1 degree in Business, Finance or STEM.
• Demonstrable work experience or volunteering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

This role is based at our head office T3 in Solihull.

What you’ll be doing

Throughout your time on the programme, you’ll rotate through different departments tailored to your strengths and interests. This means you’ll gain a broad understanding of finance and how it supports every part of our business.

A typical day might include:

• Supporting monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Building relationships across finance and the wider business
• Helping teams make informed decisions that improve profitability and customer experience
• Using financial systems and tools to analyse performance and identify trends
• Visiting operational sites to understand how finance connects with real-world delivery
• Contributing to a positive culture by challenging processes and promoting continuous improvement
• Taking part in our Graduate Core Skills Development Programme to build your business knowledge and professional network

Your Development

What we’re looking for

Essential

• In your final year or recently graduated with a 2:1 degree in a discipline relevant to Business, Finance, or a STEM field
• Examples of work experience or volunteering
