SAP S/4 HANA Finance Enterprise Architect

The role involves developing the UK Firm’s technology strategy for Finance and Engagement Management, translating it into a roadmap to prioritize investments and transformation initiatives. The strategy should promote modern, Cloud-based technologies, support typical Finance use cases, challenge the business strategy with emerging tech trends, and facilitate reuse of technology components while decommissioning legacy systems. The architect will also help execute and govern this strategy, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and standards-compliant.

Key Responsibilities

You will maintain your core knowledge of Finance and Engagement Management platforms, build FEM roadmaps, and govern relevant technology choices. You may also cover other domains as needed.

Core knowledge

• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technology trends and their business impact.
• Develop and maintain expertise in KPMG’s technology ecosystem, including main applications and technologies interacting with FEM.
• Collaborate with CTOs, SMEs, and project teams to analyze and translate business requirements into feasible technical solutions.

Application Portfolio Management

• Manage application inventory and lifecycle, consolidating or decommissioning redundant applications for efficiency and cost savings.

Roadmaps & solutions

• Build and maintain FEM technology roadmap and architecture, ensuring alignment with strategy and coherence across domains.
• Support application data completeness and integration.
• Contribute to technology selection and influence stakeholders to adopt suitable solutions.
• Support design of operating models for FEM deployment and escalate risks as needed.

Ensure standards, patterns, and reusable components are enforced, and legacy systems are decommissioned to reduce technical debt. Support enterprise architecture tools to govern initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Finance, Concur, and related SAP platforms.
• Understanding of SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Finance/Professional Services processes.
• Experience in Solution Architecture, EA governance, technical debt management, and Agile SDLC.
• Proficiency in enterprise architecture tools, business analysis, and communication skills.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Business Architecture, modeling languages, offshore team leadership, GDPR, ISO 27001, ITIL, TOGAF, and relevant degrees.
