Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Finance Director for their Worcestershire operation. The role focuses on financial leadership, internal controls, and commercial reporting to support growth and acquisitions.

You will partner with the MD and senior team to drive profitability and modernization while ensuring timely statutory and management reporting. Based in Worcester, you will oversee the finance function, manage cash flow, and lead a team in a fast-moving, product-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse business performance and provide timely reports to the MD and senior leadership.
• Ensure reporting including annual financial statements and tax reporting are completed by deadlines.
• Maintain complete and compliant financial records.
• Act as the key finance contact for internal stakeholders and support strategic decisions.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including payments to suppliers and debt collection.
• Manage cash flow and working capital; identify process gaps and risks.
• Support reporting and financial activities using NetSuite.

Finance Director : Worcestershire

Our client is a recognised and successful family business who provide top:quality construction tools, site supplies and consumables across the UK. In support of their continued activity, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director/ senior Financial leader to provide financial and commercial leadership stability, increasing profits in line with their ongoing growth.

Reporting to and working closely alongside the Managing Director and senior leadership team, this position is critical in supporting and maintaining strong financial control and reporting, as well as contributing to the businesss future expansion, including modernisation and acquisition.

Working from their offices in Worcester, the Finance Director will:

• Review and analyse the performance of the business and provide this analysis to the MD and senior leadership team on a timely basis including quarterly updates
• Ensure all reporting including annual financial statements and tax reporting are completed within deadlines including the delivery of monthly management accounts
• Ensure financial records are complete and compliant
• Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders on finance matters including supporting the businesss strategic decisions (investment etc...)
• Oversee the day:to:day operations of the finance function and department, including
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers
• Manage and improve debt collection / accounts receivable processes
• People and process management
• Maintain oversight of cash flow and working capital
• Identify and address any immediate process gaps or risks
• Have experience of using NetSuite to support reporting and financial activities
