This award-winning music group has operations throughout the globe a healthy balance sheet and is very much an employer of choice.

They are also in rapid growth and as a result have created a new position for a Finance Director to manage one of their key global divisions.

Reporting to the Group CFO you will oversee the day to day financial operations as well as supporting the Board/senior leadership team as their primary finance business partner

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for a finance team providing financial and management services to this division to ensure an efficient, accurate and timely financial and management accounting function.
  • Ensuring alignment with US reporting requirements and instigating systems and processes to deliver timely information.
  • Ownership of finance, accounting, revenue accounting and reporting ensuring monthly deadlines achieved and full reconciliations provided.
  • Management/development of the FP&A function including budgeting & planning and reporting on financial performance.
  • Own and manage the annual budgeting process ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with defined targets.
  • Management/mentoring of direct reports and overall finance function providing guidance on career development.
  • Develop high quality and effective relationships across all business units and build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with US Head office team on annual operating and long-term planning.
  • Manage accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures and quickly establish robust financial controls and align to group accounting policies.
  • Own acquisition models providing scenario based analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making and well-founded recommendations.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Promote a supportive team environment and provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training.
  • Monitors and analyses team work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis/project work as directed by the Group COO, CEO

Required Experience/Attributes:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experienced Finance Director/Head of Finance with proven success in leading/developing a finance function in a fast-growing business.
  • Music related experience is essential ideally within a multi-national environment
  • Experienced & motivational team leader
  • Thrives in a change environment and always looking to improve /develop processes to maximise efficiencies
  • A proven business partner who can quickly establish credibility with non-financial stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting financial information to C Suite stakeholders with advanced PowerPoint
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude a natural curiosity and keen attention to detail
  • Flexible & personable with a good sense of humour
