Finance Director | High-Growth SaaS Data Analytics Company | London/Hybrid

The Company:

We’re partnering with a fast-scaling B2B SaaS company that provides data-driven insights through a powerful analytics platform used by some of the world’s leading enterprises. Their technology enables better, faster decision-making for clients operating in complex and competitive markets.

Following strong commercial traction and continued product innovation, the business is entering a new phase of scale. With recurring revenues growing and a strong foundation in place, they are now looking to elevate the finance function to play a more strategic and proactive role in supporting growth.

The Role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will lead all aspects of finance across planning, reporting, controls, and operations. You’ll work closely with the executive team to help shape strategic decisions and build the financial infrastructure needed for the next stage of growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean, ambitious team, ideal for someone who enjoys building from strong foundations and wants to make a material impact on the trajectory of a scaling SaaS business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with long-term company goals.
  • Lead all FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and performance monitoring.
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, board packs, and investor updates.
  • Own financial reporting and commercial KPI tracking (e.g. ARR, retention, CAC, LTV).
  • Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management across regions.
  • Lead the implementation of robust internal controls, financial processes and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and accounting standards (UK and international).
  • Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, accountants and tax advisors.
  • Partner closely with HR to ensure seamless payroll, benefits, and incentive management.
  • Support fundraising activities, due diligence, and investor communications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial strategy and business performance.
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team to support scale and drive improvement.

What We Need to See:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years of post-qualified experience.
  • Track record in a finance leadership role within a high-growth SaaS or FinTech business.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and subscription-based revenue models.
  • Strong technical skills in financial modelling, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Confident communicator with experience partnering with C-suite and Boards.
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
  • Working knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.
  • Hands-on leader with exceptional judgment, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

What We Would Like to See:

  • Experience implementing or upgrading finance systems to support scale and efficiency.
  • Proven track record of building out FP&A functions from the ground up.
  • Confidence in leveraging data visualisation tools to enhance reporting and provide clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing, data-driven finance teams with a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with R&D tax credits and incentive schemes (e.g. stock options, commissions).
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as Xero or NetSuite.
