Job summary

The CFO HQ is seeking a highly capable Head of Finance / Finance Director for a predominantly remote role with regular travel to Milton Keynes, London and Manchester. You will partner with the CEO and Board to shape strategy, strengthen controls and build scalable finance processes within a PE-backed software and digital business.

Responsibilities include leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash management, while supporting acquisitions and post-acquisition integration.

Qualifications

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• At least five years post-qualification experience in senior finance roles.
• Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial or rapidly scaling SME environments.
• Exposure to private equity-backed businesses and acquisitions due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting across the Group including budgets, forecasts and cash management.
• Own annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning.
• Produce monthly management accounts, Board packs and KPI dashboards.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory accounts and financial filing requirements.
• Support M&A activity, due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
