ROLE PURPOSE /OVERVIEW
The Finance Director is responsible for Republic Europe's finance, finops, CASS and Data reporting
functions for Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring high standards of financial reporting and analysis
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Monitor and manage cash flow, treasury and funding requirements
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and financial regulations
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assess and manage financial risks and opportunities
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce costs
• Lead and manage the Financial Operations team responsible for customer onboarding, deposit handling,
withdrawals, and internal fund flows
• Collaborate with product and engineering to improve tools, automation and workflows
• Identify and mitigate operational risks in transaction handling
• Manage relationships with third-party payment processors, banks and suppliers
• Lead and manage the CASS team, act as a CASS Oversight Officer with the FCA, ensure daily/monthly
client money and client asset reconciliations are prepared accurately and submit the monthly CMAR
report
• Oversee the Data & BI manager
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
• Proven experience: experience at Finance Director level at global organisations within Fintech.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: proficient with Excel, and other financial systems.
• Proactivity, pragmatism: a self starter able to balance high standards with a pragmatic approach to
making progress in the most efficient way and
• Excellent communication skills: proven ability to communicate financial concepts simply and
clearly to non-financial audiences.
• Relationship building and a collaborative approach: experienced in building relationships with a
range of different stakeholders, engendering trust easily and being able to re-enforce finance as an
enabler of strategic decision making across different teams.
Desirable
• Proficient in Netsuite
• Knowledge of BI Tools
• Experience in CASS, R&D tax credits and Transfer pricing

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 10+ years PQE.
