Job summary

Robert Half is proud to support an organisation near Bath with the recruitment of an interim finance director. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate at board level, with prior sector experience as head of finance, financial controller or finance director. Duration: 6 months minimum with potential extension. Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote.

Start early to mid-October. Location near Bath. Daily rate up to £400 (Inside IR35).

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified accountant.

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management accounts.
• Cashflow forecasting and treasury management.
• Bank covenant monitoring and compliance reporting.
• Oversight of payroll for 400–500 employees.
• Management of sales ledgers, purchase ledgers and debt collection.
• Responsible for cash and investment management.
• VAT returns and Corporation Tax compliance.
• Management of external audit process.
• Insurance claims administration.
• Attendance at Finance Committee meetings and preparation of reports.
• Support the implementation of a new HR and payroll system.

This is a fantastic opportunity for newly created role reporting to board level, ideal for a candidate with previous experience within the sector at head of finance, financial controller or finance director level.

Duration: 6 months minimum - opportunity for extension.

Daily rate: Up to £400pd (Inside IR35)

Start date: Early/Mid-October

Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote.

Location: Near Bath.

Reporting to board level, you will take responsibility for the following:
