Job summary

Buro Happold in Bath is seeking a Finance Digital Transformation professional to lead adoption of new finance technologies, automation and AI-enabled capabilities. You will work across Finance, Digital, Data and Transformation to turn approved ideas into practical, sustainable solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen controls.

This hybrid role requires part- or newly qualified accounting experience, strong communication, and a flair for training and change management.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent finance experience).
• Strong understanding of core finance processes such as accounts payable, billing, reconciliations, reporting, financial controls and month-end activities.
• Experience using digital tools, automation, reporting solutions or AI-enabled technologies to improve business processes.
• Experience supporting system implementations, process improvements or transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, user-friendly way.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of new finance technologies, systems, workflows and reporting solutions across a global finance community.
• Design and deliver engaging training programmes, workshops, user guides, videos and coaching sessions.
• Support and grow a network of Finance Digital Champions to encourage best practice and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing activities and support successful system deployments.
• Deliver low to medium complexity digital enhancements, automations and reporting improvements.
• Gather user feedback and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
• Support finance teams in making the most of reporting, data, workflow, automation and approved AI tools.
• Maintain documentation, training materials and support processes to ensure solutions remain effective and sustainable.
• Track adoption metrics, benefits and business outcomes to demonstrate value and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data, Information Security and external partners to deliver successful digital initiatives.
• Apply Finance digital governance and delivery standards, including controlled testing and approvals, and promote the responsible use of approved AI tools.
