Finance Digital Transformation Manager – Data strategies, data governance, data transformation, management, director, head of business intelligence, reporting, Power BI, business intelligence, DAX, Power BI Analyst, TM1, data ownership, FP&A, financial planning & analysis, finance, financials, Dynamics ERP, ERP, SAP, D365, finance manager, CIMA, ACA, ACCA, Accountant – UK Hybrid - £100-120k plus bonus and benefits

The role of Finance Digital Transformation Manager is to leverage digital tools and capabilities to lead transformation, modernise, and optimise financial processes within the organisation. This position requires a combination of strong financial accounting, planning and analysis expertise, collaboration, influencing skills, and a solid understanding of business intelligence technologies to drive strategic initiatives, promote automation, and improve data governance practices.

Working closely with Business unit FP&A teams, Group Accounting and Finance, and IT's Data as a Service function, this role acts as a key bridge between finance and technology. It aims to enhance accounting, planning, reporting processes, and analytics capabilities, while enabling teams to adopt modern tools and approaches effectively.

You will lead a team of 3 and partner with business unit finance teams to deliver scalable planning and reporting solutions.

This role requires candidates to be on-site 1-2 days a week in Cheshire and candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 10 years post-qualified experience.
  • Proven experience in finance digital transformation, creating value through process reengineering using BI and automation tools.
  • Experience managing financial reporting and analytics functions, with expertise in Power BI.
  • Strong leadership skills, including managing teams responsible for reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, including data ownership, quality management, and integration.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with experience in a matrixed organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining a finance digital transformation strategy:
  • Create and implement a comprehensive strategy aligned with the company's broader business goals for financial process optimisation, automation, and technological enhancements.
  • Lead and manage finance transformation projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee the selection and integration of new financial technologies and systems.
Reporting and Analytics Management:
  • Develop and maintain centralised analytics capabilities, including Power BI dashboards and other finance system-based reporting solutions.
  • Standardise reporting templates and methodologies to improve consistency and usability across business units.
  • Introduce advanced analytical capabilities, such as predictive models and scenario analysis, to enhance insights.
Data Governance and Quality:
  • Collaborate with IT, Group Accounting and Finance, and business unit FP&A teams to ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance across datasets.
  • Oversee financial hierarchies, reporting structures, and KPI definitions for consistency and accuracy.
  • Advocate for automation and analytics adoption in financial workflows to improve efficiency and insights.
  • Work with IT and data specialists to align technical solutions with finance objectives.
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities for automation and analytics.
Training and Enablement:
  • Provide training and support to finance teams on reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Enable teams to leverage centralised data and analytics tools for better decision-making.
Collaboration, Leadership, and Change Management:
  • Build strong relationships across finance, IT, and business units, becoming a trusted advisor on finance digital transformation.
  • Use influencing skills to gain buy-in for initiatives that enhance finance capabilities and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Location: Cheshire & hybrid
