Job summary

Age UK North Tyneside is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support high-quality financial administration and help implement a new finance system. You will work with the Finance Manager to manage income processing, payroll support, and reporting across the group.

The role requires strong numeracy, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and with stakeholders. AAT Level 3 and GCSEs are essential, with payroll and systems experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
• Experience working within a finance department.
• Experience of income processing, reconciliations and financial administration.
• Experience using finance systems and maintaining financial records.
• Experience of using online banking and electronic payment systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate income processing activities within the Group.
• Support payroll administration and payroll enquiries.
• Maintain financial controls and support month-end processes.
• Assist with the development and testing of a new finance system.
• Produce journals and finance reports for audits and year-end.
