Job summary

Age UK North Tyneside is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support financial administration across the Group. You will work with the Finance Manager to coordinate income processing, payroll support, and month-end reporting while helping implement a new finance system.

The role requires attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, liaising with colleagues and stakeholders. AAT3 and GCSEs are essential.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
• Experience working within a finance department.
• Experience of income processing, reconciliations and financial administration.
• Experience using finance systems and maintaining financial records.
• Experience of using online banking and electronic payment systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate income processing across the Group and produce invoices.
• Maintain banking documentation and customer accounts; support debt recovery.
• Assist payroll processing, reconciliations, and respond to payroll enquiries.
• Prepare journals and finance reports; support audit and year-end processes.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of the new finance system.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and team to ensure accurate financial administration.
