Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Finance Manager – Financial Controls, Audit & RTR to strengthen our financial control environment across the UKI and Events portfolio. You will drive governance, ensure SOX and US GAAP compliance, and coordinate external and internal audits with our Shared Service Centre and regional teams.

You will lead control remediation, balance sheet substantiation, tax compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver accurate financial reporting and strengthened processes

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred).
• Experience in a US-controlled financial environment with strong US GAAP and SOX knowledge.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting, controls, or finance leadership experience.
• Experience in statutory reporting, external audit management, tax compliance and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the financial controls framework across the UKI & Events business, ensuring compliance with company policies, US GAAP and SOX.
• Support DOA, SOD, journal entry approvals, SOX evidence collection and READ monitoring activities.
• Coordinate Group external audits under US GAAP, acting as primary contact between auditors, finance teams and Shared Service Centre.
• Lead internal audit planning and support audit programmes.
• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax reporting and statutory filings.
• Review and enhance balance sheet substantiation, reconciliation controls and action tracking.
• Drive process improvements and control remediation to strengthen the control environment.
• Act as Security Champion back-up, supporting financial data security and internal control follow-up.
• Partner with regional finance, operations, procurement, tax, treasury, IT and SSC teams to deliver compliant financial processes.
• Promote accountability, governance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
