Job summary

The successful candidate will handle strategic planning, statutory reporting, cash flow management, VAT, and intercompany transactions, while targeting cost reductions and process improvements across the finance

Responsibilities

• Strategic financial planning including Acquisitions and Disposals, Corporation tax, Capital Allowances, funding, grants, foreign exchange opportunities, inter-company transactions, Fixed Asset investment and Payback calculations.
• Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss management.
• Budgeting, Forecasting and Cash Flows.
• Statutory Accounts and other statutory reporting, including VAT returns.
• Research & Development rebate scheme and other possible grant applications.
• Monthly Management Accounts and Variance analysis.
• Business efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Sales ledger, including invoicing, VAT, Credit Control and Credit Management, Cash posting.
• Purchase ledger, including invoice, credit note and Supplier management, VAT, Payment control.
• Bank control including reconciliation of all accounts and Credit Card and Foreign Currency including currency gains and losses.
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Monitoring and management of relationships between the Company and customers and suppliers.
