Job summary

Colehouse Group is seeking a Finance Continuous Improvement Consultant to support a financial services client in enhancing and digitising its Finance processes. The role focuses on applying finance-focused process improvement and AI to deliver measurable efficiencies, controls, and risk reduction.

You will work with Finance and technology teams to design and implement improved processes and to build a pipeline of AI-enabled opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience within or with a Finance function in financial services.
• Strong process mapping and continuous improvement experience.
• Practical knowledge of AI and its business applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Power BI, SQL or Python is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Finance Continuous Improvement Consultant to support a financial services organisation in improving and digitising its Finance processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong foundations in Finance, process improvement and AI who wants to develop further into AI-enabled Finance transformation.

What you'll do

• Map and analyse end-to-end Finance processes, identifying inefficiencies, manual activity and control issues.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes using continuous improvement, automation and AI.
• Use root-cause analysis to understand recurring Finance process issues and recommend sustainable improvements.
• Work with Finance and technology teams to help design and implement improved processes.
• Quantify opportunities through measures such as time saved, cost reduction, improved controls and reduced risk.
• Support the development of a prioritised pipeline of Finance digitisation and AI opportunities.

What you'll need

• Experience within or working closely with a Finance function in a bank, insurer, asset manager or similar financial services organisation.
• A good working knowledge of Finance processes such as month-end close, reconciliations, journals, reporting and controls.
• Process mapping and continuous improvement experience — you’ve analysed a process, identified where time or effort was being wasted and helped improve it.
• Practical knowledge of AI and its application to business problems. This could have been gained professionally, through a university degree/module/project, or through hands-on work with AI tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI, SQL or Python would be advantageous.
• The ability to work effectively with both Finance and technology stakeholders.

Lean or Six Sigma training and an Accounting, Finance, Economics, AI, Data or related degree would be advantageous.

We're not looking for someone who has already mastered every aspect of AI-enabled Finance transformation. We're looking for someone with the Finance, process improvement and AI foundations who can grow into that broader role.
