Job summary

Vital Services is seeking a Finance & Commercial Director to lead long-term financial planning, commercial strategy, and governance across a diverse NHS-focused portfolio. You will steer strategic financial decisions and ensure sustainable performance across estates, facilities and related services.

The role requires senior financial leadership in contract-driven settings, with strong commercial acumen and NHS/public-sector experience, aligned to our values and public-service ethos.

Qualifications

• A professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW).
• Senior financial leadership experience in a contract-driven environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing FM/estates contracts.
• Experience working with public-sector clients - ideally the NHS.
• Demonstrates and champions Vital Services and BWC NHSFT values - ambitious, brave, compassionate.
• Operates with integrity, transparency, and commercial discipline.
