Role Overview

This role involves managing Work-In-Progress efficiently, ensuring timely billing of all costs to clients, and assisting with cash collection queries. It requires working within strict monthly deadlines to maintain a low Work-in-Progress balance, tracking costs and revenues monthly, and ensuring client budgets are up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Account Handlers to produce and finalize invoices for clients.
  • Provide ad-hoc invoicing and transactional analysis as required.
  • Maintain accurate budget and billing tracking for all clients.
  • Inform Sector Finance Leads and the Finance & Business Manager of relevant issues.
  • Produce month-end reports such as Unbilled Work In Progress Summary and Credit Note Reconciliation.
  • Build effective relationships with Account Handlers and Sector Heads, providing financial guidance.
  • Create draft invoices from Work-in-Progress accounts and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Make amendments to invoices as needed and resolve queries promptly.
  • Ensure invoice and budget tracking accuracy, reflecting correct PO/Budgets.
  • Produce monthly “Aged WIP” reports analyzing unbilled costs.
  • Manage the BIA (Billings In Advance) account for clients.
  • Assist with credit control queries related to invoicing, in collaboration with Finance Plus.
Experience & Skills
  • Previous billing experience, preferably in marketing/media environments.
  • IT literate, including MS Office and preferably Maconomy.
