Job summary

Michael Page Finance in the UK is recruiting a Finance Business Partner who will shape financial strategy, strengthen controls, and drive efficiency through digital and process innovation. You will partner with senior leaders and operational teams to deliver insightful reporting and robust financial planning.

In this role you will lead monthly management accounts with variance analysis, develop forecasts, build financial models, and identify cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent by experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret data and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in management accounting, business partnering, or FP&A.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to challenge senior leaders.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to operational teams, providing financial insight and challenging assumptions.
• Lead monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
• Partner with budget holders to develop forecasts and budgets aligned to strategic goals.
• Deliver financial modelling and scenario planning for business cases.

• Support KPI development and performance dashboards for better financial visibility.
• Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Support year-end processes and liaise with auditors.

Profile

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent qualified by experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and influence stakeholders.
• Proven experience in management accounting, business partnering, or financial planning & analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and support senior leaders.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems and reporting tools is a plus.
