Job summary

Michael Page Finance seeks a Finance Business Partner to provide proactive financial guidance to senior managers and budget holders, enabling resource optimization and sound decision making.

You will act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, deliver business partnering, monitor financial position, and produce forecasts with clear insights and opportunities for efficiency. Hybrid working and study support are offered.

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA with budgeting/forecasting experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• First time move from practice would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with budget holders and senior leaders to understand financial needs.
• Act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, delivering a high quality business partnering service.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on the financial position of departments with clear stakeholder insight.
• Produce accurate forecasts and highlight opportunities, risks and efficiency improvements.
• Review payroll spending and investigate variances to align with figures.
• Work with budget holders to develop realistic annual budgets.
• Review expenditure across supplies and services, identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance Operations, Admin, IT, Estates to support accurate financial management.

• Act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, owning service level expectations and ensuring a high quality business partnering service.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on the financial position of departments, providing clear insight to stakeholders.
• Produce accurate forecasts and highlight opportunities, risks, and efficiency improvements.
• Review payroll spending, ensuring alignment to establishment figures and investigating any variances.
• Work closely with budget holders to develop realistic and achievable annual budgets.
• Review expenditure across supplies, services, and operational areas, recommending efficiency opportunities.
• Build strong links with internal support teams (HR, Finance Operations, Admin, IT, Estates, etc.) to support delivery of accurate financial management.

Profile

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

• Part qualified studier ACA/ CIMA/ACCA/ CIPFA
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrable stakeholder management abilities.
• First time move from practice would be highly desirable
