Job summary

The East Midlands Councils invites applications for a finance role focused on monitoring and setting revenue and capital budgets. You will support the provision of effective accounting services and report key financial data to managers across the organisation.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrable local government experience and an AAT or equivalent qualification, with flexible working options and access to the LGPS. Provisional interview dates are set for 19 and 20 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in local government accounting and financial processes.
• Ability to analyse financial data and report to managers.
• Experience supporting accounting processes and service managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in revenue and capital budget monitoring and setting.
• Provide and report on key financial data to financial and non-financial managers.
• Support accounting services alongside Finance Business Partners.
