Job description
Overview

edyn is a pan-European hospitality and lifestyle accommodation group with annual revenues of c.€180m, operating the Cove, Locke, and SACO brands across the corporate and leisure markets. New ways of travelling and living have fuelled our rapid growth into the aparthotel sector. Under private equity ownership, the company has expanded into key European gateway cities, opening new hotels in Lisbon and Paris in the past 18 months, with further properties scheduled for early 2026. Following this growth, the group (59 entities across 9 jurisdictions) is entering a period of consolidation, enhancing ways of working to drive sustainable profitability, efficiency, and long-term value creation.

The Finance Business Partner is a critical role within our Regional Finance team, based in London and covering a portfolio of European markets. The team is structured across two regions (UK and Continental Europe), with each team member also holding responsibility for functional areas. Reporting to a Regional Head of Finance, the role works closely with central Finance (c.50 colleagues) and business leaders across multiple European countries.

This role combines financial expertise with strong commercial insight, acting as a trusted advisor who enables data-driven decision-making and provides support to enhance both performance and efficiency across our European operations.

The Finance Business Partner will be proactive, collaborative, and analytical — comfortable operating in a London hub while engaging with diverse, cross-border stakeholders. With experience in hospitality and a strong financial qualification, they will deliver real-time analysis, robust forecasting, and actionable insights. The ability to work effectively across different markets and cultures is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis
  • Review property-level P&Ls across European markets, including variance analysis, commentary, and turnaround recommendations.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic implications.
  • Partner with Operations and Commercial teams to benchmark performance, optimise productivity, and improve profitability.
  • Lead annual planning and monthly forecasting processes for assigned sites, providing forward‑looking analysis and challenging assumptions.
  • Drive improvements in reporting, forecasting, and financial processes to enhance transparency and control across jurisdictions.
Data‑Driven Decision Modelling
  • Support strategic and operational decisions with financial modelling, focusing on efficiency, footprint, and asset value.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure and lifecycle maintenance investments, ensuring alignment with group policies and market realities.
  • Provide decision‑making tools and guidance to non‑financial stakeholders, enabling effective business cases (e.g. new openings, supplier contracts).
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights for leaders across multiple European markets.
Trusted Advisor and Cross‑Border Collaboration
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, providing clear financial insight and recommendations.
  • Build collaborative relationships across finance, operations, and commercial functions in both London and European markets.
  • Challenge and influence business performance with curiosity and analytical rigour.
  • Support procurement and supplier strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Promote financial understanding, upskilling stakeholders and ensuring alignment with risk and control frameworks.
In this role you will need
Knowledge / Skills
  • Strong understanding of hospitality and hotel operations, including revenue streams (rooms, F&B, events), cost structures, and KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy).
  • Excellent financial modelling and system skills (Excel, BI tools, NetSuite, MEWs, Opera or equivalent).
  • Ability to balance commercial and financial priorities across different European markets.
  • Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to simplify complexity.
  • Collaborative and confident in building relationships across diverse cultures.
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic, and outcome‑focused.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality or multi‑site operations, ideally covering more than one European market.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent international qualification).
  • Strong background in operational finance and business partnering with international stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages an advantage.
