Job summary

Sellick Partnership is partnering with an NHS trust in the Southwest to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. The role offers strategic leadership to a divisional management team, with autonomy and accountability for financial management.

Flexible/hybrid working is available, with an emphasis on robust monthly reporting and informed decision-making as the organisation moves through change.

Qualifications

• Professional Accountancy qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in NHS finance business partnering.
• Strong leadership & management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with senior non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Divisional Management Team, aligning income, activity, expenditure and workforce monitoring.
• Work autonomously, delivering a comprehensive financial management service to the Division.
• Ensure robust monthly performance reports to inform key management decisions.
• Lead and coordinate all aspects of the annual financial business plan.
• Challenge divisional performance to drive improvements.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner will include:

• Providing strategic business leadership to the Divisional Management Team, ensuring a cohesive approach to income, activity, expenditure and workforce monitoring
• Working autonomously and taking full responsibility and accountability for providing a comprehensive financial management service to the Division
• Ensuring monthly performance monitoring reports are robust and that key management decisions are based on accurate business information
• Lead and co-ordinate all aspects of the annual financial business plan
• Positively challenge all aspects of Divisional performance

Required experience/qualifications:

• Professional Accountancy qualification - at least 2 years of post-qualification experience
• NHS finance business partnering
• Strong leadership & management skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with senior non-financial stakeholders
