Job summary

AWE is seeking a Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35) for a 12-month hybrid contract based in Reading, with 2 days in the office and the rest remote. The role supports vital defence-related work within a national security context.

Key duties include data quality, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement; DV clearance is essential. Preference may be given to candidates with active security clearance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).

• Reporting writing and forecasting.

Job description

On behalf of AWE , we are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35) for a 12 month hybrid contract based in Reading with 2 days based in the office and the remainder working from home.

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. Main responsibilities:

• - Apply all appropriate procedures, processes and systems to ensure the quality and consistency of data supported by your team
• - Line and task manage capacity and deployment of business partner managers and their teams in support of Lead Business Partners
• - Ensuring the teams deliverables are:- -
• - Produced to acceptable time, cost & quality, including but not limited to forecasts, budgets, procurement plans, reports and variance analysis
• - Produced to the required Business Rhythm
• - Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• - Support and lead on the resource balancing activities
• - Support, contribute and review business cases
• - Ensure that the budgets and funding are appropriately configured and appropriate governance is applied
• - Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player .

PLEASE NOTE: DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
