AWE is seeking a Senior Planner (Inside IR35) for a 12-month contract with hybrid working arrangements (three days on-site per week at Aldermaston, Reading). The role focuses on delivering complete planning capability, maintaining the IMS, and supporting Earned Value and schedule integrity for critical defense projects.

Applicants should have Primavera P6 experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a willingness to undergo SC clearance.

Working to support the defence of our country, AWE has a clear mission to keep everyone, the environment, their products and information, sites, and everything around them, safe and secure.Job Purpose:The delivery of the complete planning capability within the business by maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Supporting the Task Manager with business rhythms, schedule integrity, network analysis, Earned Value and communications with the program and business teams.SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.As a Senior Planner, your main responsibilities will be:* Delivering Project Controls Planning and EVM expertise and analysis for projects, to produce accurate and timely schedule forecast information to enable business decision-making.* Quality of EV variance analysis for schedule performance. (SPI)* Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Planning processes and the production and maintenance of associated policies, procedures and guidelines.* Supporting the delivery of Planning tools and EVMS, templates and training to internal customers.* Reviewing project WBS and agreeing / recommending changes to the Project’s Control Manager.* Provision of Planning resource for peer reviews as appropriate.* Maintaining & building schedules for Estates Management Projects* Security Projects - replacing security systems through to facility works* Re-kitting facilities & refurbishment of facilities* Manage milestones* Participate in planning workshops and attend Project MeetingsEssential:* Experience in Primavera P6* Understanding regulations* Stakeholder engagement & management experiencePlease be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.AWE’s ambition is to create workplaces that recognise and celebrate differences, encourage diverse contributions and where people feel able to be themselves at work.
