Tai Tarian, the social landlord for over 9,000 properties across Neath Port Talbot, seeks a Finance Business Partner reporting to the Financial Controller. The FBP acts as the finance representative in the Assets and Development management team, providing financial analysis to help understand performance and drive change.

The role partners with the Director of Assets and Development to apply financial expertise, and support the directorate’s performance through data-driven insight.

Job description

Tai Tarian is the social landlord for over 9,000 properties across Neath Port Talbot. We are looking for motivated people who want to be part of a team who pride themselves on delivering excellence.

This is an exciting time for change in Tai Tarian with our vision to provide sustainable homes, develop sustainable communities and drive change for a sustainable planet.

We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner who will reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner (FBP) works 'in the business' as the finance representative in the Assets and Development management team with responsibility to provide financial analysis and insight to help develop understanding of the financial performance of the department, challenge ingrained thinking and be a catalyst for change.

Working closely with the Director of Assets and Development, this role uses financial expertise, a deep business knowledge of the issues and risks that could impact upon financial performance of the directorate.

This role is an 18-month fixed term contract, with a salary of £53,966.

Criteria for the role:
  • Experience of managing complex problems, demonstrating the ability to breakdown the problem into actionable component parts and work with others to complete the tasks required for resolution.
  • Experience of complex project management, requiring cross functional coordination in effective and timely delivery of identified outcomes.
  • Experience using technical expertise in a business partnering/consultative role where actions and influencing are required to achieve the optimum collective result.
  • Experience operating in an environment where data is used to drive unbiased recommendations and decisions
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Degree Level Qualification (2:1)
